USHL Star and European Pro Steve MacSwain

Steve MacSwain was an elite scorer in Junior Hockey now the Glacier Nationals hope he can score us some great players.

Steve’s Jr. Hockey Stats in the USHL speak for themselves.  In 1982-83 as a Dubuque Fighting Saint Steve scored 62 goals with 122 assists in 60 regular  season games adding another 9 goals and 11 assists in 9 playoff games and 5 goals with 4 assists in Nationals.  This earned Steve the Triple Crown of Jr. Hockey with a regular season championship, Clark Cup championship and a National Championship.  His success continued the next season winning the Clark Cup again.  Steve left the USHL with an impressive points resume of 111 goals with  128 assists in just 97 games.

Steve went on to the University of Minnesota and was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 1986 NHL Supplemental Draft.  He then embarked on to a 13 year Minor League and European Pro career and was a member of the US National Team in the 1990 World Championships.  Now Steve remains in hockey managing a  Ice Arena in Palmer, Alaska where he is committed to helping Alaska hockey players find success in the world of hockey.  Steve is married to his wife Claudia and has one son named Stevie.  Steve is proud and excited on being a scout for the Glacier Nationals.
